How do I get product key to work for downloading, already register

Llamacek

When I try to download a template for access, I am asked to enter product
key, even though I am already registered. The key on the back of my Office
Professional CD will not work. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you being asked for the Product Key for MS Office or for Windows? These
Product Keys are not interchangeable.

If you are using Access 2000 which hasn't been fully patched, then please
see the following Web page for the necessary patch:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=818798

And while you may have MS Office installed and registered on your computer,
the registered version may not be a version that can use the downloaded
Access template. An example of this would be MS Office 97 Pro installed and
registered and MS Office 2003 trial edition installed and registered, but
which has expired. You would be prompted to register MS Office 2003 with a
valid Product Key to open the Access 2000/2002/2003 mdb file.

If you want to see which Product Keys your computer is currently using for
Windows and MS Office (Office 97 and XP only) to compare with the Product
Keys on the back of your CD cases or computer case, then please see the
following Web page for a tool:

For more information on activation and registration with Microsoft, please
see the following Web page:

If you're still having trouble registering the product, then contact
Microsoft's Product Support Services:
