How do I get rid of another program ,received in my OutLook Expre.

I am receiving one of my programs (on my desktop) in my OUTLOOK EXPRESS
RECEIVED E-mail Attachments ,which I receive from other people. Why? It is
not only from one person , but from others. I open the attachment , which
they have sent me and I end up opening one of MY programs. Strange? Also,
the Icon next to the attachment they sent me is the icon of MY Program! I
click on the attachment and it opens my progran instead of opening the
attachment they sent me. I am using Windows 98, second Edition. Pentium 3
