How do I get roman numeral page numbering in a footer ?

In Pub 2003 anyway: Insert/Section/Number Format - the drop down menu caters
for roman numerals, either upper or lower case.

Do you ever listen to a word I say?

You've said this before, I've corrected you.

In future, please listen.

Open Publisher 2003, go to View > Header and Footer.

Jim to answer your question...Change the page number format for a new section

On the Insert menu, click Section.
Select the Begin a section with this page check box.
Under Page Numbering, select the number format you want from the Number
format box.
Select other options as desired.
To restart the page numbering, click Start at, and then type or select the
page number you want the new section to start with.

Margoloota, yes, it does, just because you don't know something doesn't mean
you have to answer. You know sometimes it's better to remain silent and let
the world think your're a fool, then to to open your mouth and remove all
doubt. Do us all a favor and go back to the back hills of UK and play with
your kiddie pc's

Jim to answer your question...go to View-Headers and Footers
like a professional instead of an UK educated 30 year old stripper....who by
the way stole her name from a vampire written by Terry Pratchett, yes old
lady I did some research too.

Note This inserts a new section in the current page in the publication.
This section is shown by a break in the page icons at the bottom of the
window.

Or if you already have them in a section...follow these instructions.

Change the page number format for an existing section

On the Insert menu, click Section.
Under Page Numbering, select the number format you want from the Number
format box.
Select any other options that you want.
Note This sets the numbering format for all pages in the current section. A
publication always has one section by default. If no other sections have been
inserted, the numbering format will apply to all pages in the publication.

You'll have to excuse idiot's like Marolotta, she's 30, ugly and thinks
she's a vampire because she can't tell fiction from non-fiction and as much
as I like Terry Prachett he is a fiction writer. I wish MS would block her
but I can't complain alone. Join us and complain about her with us...maybe
we can get a class action lawsuit against her considering the new laws about
writing lies, untruths about indivduals and stupitdy in general.
