how do i get slides to continue one after the other in powerpoint
Go to the View menu and choose Slide Sorter.
Go to the Edit menu and choose Select All.
Go to the Slide Show menu and choose Slide Transition.

Now, the next bit depends on the version of PowerPoint. In 2003, you want
to look on the right side of your screen for a section labelled Advance
After and look for a box marked Automatically After. Check the
Automatically After box. Underneath that box, you will see a box with a
time that starts at 00:00 for 0 minutes and 0 seconds. Change that to
something like 00:05 for 5 seconds.

Now when you run your slide show, the slides will automatically change
every 5 seconds.

thanks for your reply.

for some reason the first slide will not go onto the second slide, all the
other slides collaborate but the first and second wont. I have music added to
the first slide which runs through all the slides, could this have anything
to do with it??

The music certainly could interfere. Did you follow the advice at the PPT
FAQ for getting your music to play across multiple slides?

Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)
