How do I get the numbers to line up with lines of text in a plead.

In legal pleading templates, I'm having trouble lining up the text with the
line numbers. If I use the spacing of "at least 23.15 points, it all lines
up beautifully, on the FIRST page. But on all the other pages, the text is
just below each line number.

I can't figure out how to get the numbers and text to line up. This is a
very frustrating problem!

Don't use the legal pleading template, which has "hard-coded" numbers in a
text box that is the same on every page. Instead, use Word's built-in line
numbering feature (File | Page Setup | Layout: Line Numbers), which will
match the actual position of your lines. You have to give up the nasty
practice of using empty paragraphs to create "blank lines," though; use
Space Before/After instead.
