How do I get Yahoo text to paste from Clipboard?

When I copy text from Yahoo to the Clipboard and paste into Word 2003, Word
freezes. Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of using the normal Paste (Ctrl+V), try to paste the copied content
as _unformatted_ text: Select Edit > Paste Special and select "Unformatted
Text" from the list.
