How do I have a project file point to the current date when I open

Hi,

anyone knows how to do this? It currently jumps to 28th January 08.
I am using Project 2003 in Tracking Gantt view.

Thanks

jes,

I think project always opens to the project start date. I usually select a
task in the date range I want and use the "Go To" to bring that date range
into view.

Add this routine to the Project Objects:

Private Sub Project_Open(ByVal pj As Project)
EditGoTo Date:=Now()
End Sub

Here's how I did it:
ALT+F11
On the left side of the screen open the + sign by VBAProject
The next indent is Microsoft Project Objects, then "This Project". Paste
the code above to the window on the right side.

The could should only apply to the current file.

It didn't help.

Do I have to save it somhow?
If I close, open again, alt+F11, I see the code there but the project opens
always at 28th January.
