How do I hide a slide but also access it with a hyperlink?

I am making a slideshow for school and I was wondering how to hide a slide,
but also access it with a hyperlink. My situation-I have a table which has
hyperlinks to other slides which have videos. Afetr the video has played, I
wanted to go back to the table, but it seems that I have to view all the
other slides which are after the table. I tried hiding them but it didn't
seem to work. Could anyone please help?

Create a custom show with each of the video slides. (Slide Show/Custom Show)

To link, right-click the text in the table and select Action Setting. In the
Hyperlink box, scroll to Custom Show and select the appropriate custom show.
Click the "show and return" button to go back to the table slide after the
video slide plays.

I am doing something similar for a training review using a game-show type
format.
I have got everything working with the custom shows and hyperlinks, but what
I am not able to figure out is how to make the table cell change to show that
it has been accessed by either becoming blank or putting a graphic on it.
Custom animation doesn't seem to just do the cells accessed. I am creating
this in the PowerPoint 2003. Any suggestions or help would be greatly
appreciated.

The easiest thing might be to use animation triggers, so that when the
hyperlink is clicked, it not only hyperlinks to another slide (or custom
show), it also triggers an animation for a box to come in over it.
Alternatively, you could use VBA to get the effect you want.

I like that solution.

Alternatively, apply the link to the text itself. It should change colors
based on your color scheme after it's clicked. But to become blank or to add
a graphic, I like the triggers option.

The triggers worked great at the same time with the hyperlink.
Thanks for all your help
