how do I hide the real email address when sending as another user.

When sending email 'From:' another user using your account, and it's received
by a person using Outlook, Outlook shows the real originating email account
instead of the account the mail was sent 'From:'. Is there a way to make the
header only show the 'From:' address and not the person who sent the email?

I click on the 'From:' button and send email out as our (e-mail address removed)
address. A user receives this email and it shows as being from: Lastname,
Firstname on behalf of Marketing

We would like the From: field to just be Marketing.

Thanks,
-danny

And that's exacly how the From field is to be used. Seems to me, there are
a couple of ways to approach it, one if you use an Exchange server and one
it you don't. For the latter case, create a new account and specify
(e-mail address removed) as the E-mail address of the account. Then use the
Accounts button to select that account when sending mail. For the former, I
believe it's how the permissions on the mailbox are set up, but I'm not
familiar enough with Exchange to say. I do recall reading similar postings
here or in the m.p.o newsgroup and Google Groups can find those for you.

Thanks for your reply. We are in fact using an Exchange environment. I will
try and search google some more.... just not having any luck with my search
phrases.

thanks again,

This particular issue is addressed in this FAQ:

Hope this helps.

I'm reasonably sure that the sender address presentation is controlled by
the Exchange server and that it can't be changed by the Outlook client.

Thanks! I found that same answer yesterday after some further digging. I
appreciate your help.
