How do I highlight incoming messages with color?

I want to highlight messages from family a certain color to bring separate
them from others. I could do it with outlook express but can't seem to with
microsoft outlook.

You can change the colour based on the sender's address.

Inbox | Tools | Organise.

Click the Colours tab on the left. Then highlight an email from the person
and select a colour and click "apply."

You must do this for each person and have an email in the Inbox to do it.
You can drag one in, make the colour rule and then put it away again.
