How do I hover over a word and a list appears?

I want to place a word on my web page that when you place mouse over it a
drop down list appears without clicking on the word.

Go to DynamicDrive [1] which is somewhat dated with what others are doing
but its the site I can remember that has DHTML scripts that you can acquire
or at least get familiar with to begin to search for others.
