How do I identify a new sound that occurs with Office 2003?

After installing Office 2003, I hear a new sound from time to time that I
cannot identify with any particular action or program? It seems to be an
alert of some kind, but I can't discern what it might be. It is like a high
pitched ding-dong.
Any ideas?

Might go through the sounds in the Control Panel to see if you can isolate the
particular sound. Sounds & Audio devices folder, sounds tab.
