For PDF into PPT, see
Import PDF content into PowerPoint
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00054.htm
If you have a Word document, spend some time setting up styles, then use
File|Send to|PPT.
Styles in Word map to levels of text in PPT.
Heading 1 = Title text
Heading 2 = Primary bullet
Heading 3 = Secondary bullet
Heading 4 = Tertiary bullet
Etc.
Anything that uses Normal style will not transfer to PPT when you Send to
PPT. Images, charts, tables, diagrams, etc., also do not transfer when you
Send to PPT. Those would have to be copied and pasted.

from outline if you are in powerpoint), don't forget you can use format
painter to update your word document to the heading styles really quickly.

Echo S said:Yes, that's good advice.
And I should have mentioned that the actual formatting you end up with in
PPT is dependent on the formatting of the blank PPT template. So after you
send the text to PPT, you'll want to apply a PPT template or format the
placeholders on the slide master to quickly format the text on the slides.
If there's a lot of manual formatting in the Word doc, this won't be a good
solution, and so then using the "import PDF content into PPT" will be the
better route.
