How do I import actual work by date?

While I can easily import actual work hours in total, I haven't been able to
figure out how to specify the dates worked. We utilize an MS SQL-based time
and billing system and I want to be able to import actual time worked into
the projects for reporting rather than having the individuals re-input their
time into Project for comparison to budgets. I searched through the
resource, task and assignment import wizards and none have a field which
specified "date". Any help is appreciated.

I use VBA programming for that.
