How do I insert a chart from an excel file to a power point file?

Select the chart in Excel, hit Ctrl+C to copy.

On the PPT slide, hit Ctrl+V to paste.

Right click on the chart and select copy. Open the slide where you want
to put the chart and right click on it, select paste. You can use the
edit menu and select paste special check the paste link radio button
and then select the excel chart option. Click Ok. This method will
automatically update the chart if the original one is changed in excel.
