How do I insert a Movie Maker file into a Powerpoint presentation

I have a .wmm file (Windows Movie Maker). I was told that was already
formatted to put into a .ppt file. However, when I click on Insert Movie -
from file, my .wmm file does not appear and the assistant says the file path
is not valid. Any help w/this would be truly appreciated.

Hi,

Save it as a WMV file then insert it as a movie. A WMM file is a moviemaker
project file and contains references to the source files for creating a
movie. It isn't a movie itself. Also, do you have the latest version of
moviemaker? It now saves moviemaker projec files as MSWMM files. You can
