how do i insert a timeline into a visio drawing

I created the timeline in visio, I have a drawing that was also created in
visio. I want to add the visio timeline I created into the visio drawing I
created. I did not create the timeline in project. Do I need to export it
to project then import it to the visio drawing?

Just open the timeline stencil (menu File -> Shapes -> Project
Schedule -> TimeLine Shapes
and drop a timeline shape on your drawing.

For an existing timeline, select all, copy, and then paste into the new Visio
document. If you need access to more timeline shapes, follow Paul's
directions.
