how do I insert section breaks to seperate subdocuments?

I have made a master document without section breaks between the
subdocuments. I wish to start each chapter in a new page.

and then combine all the sub documents into the one entity. You can then
insert section breaks (or set the chapter title style to have a page break
before parameter) at will.
