How do I install Office XP SP3 without the disc

Lulu

I am trying to install Office XP SP3. It downloaded and installed so far,
then a dialogue box tells me to insert the Office XP professional disc. I no
longer have this disc despite looking everywhere. Is it possible to install
SP3 without the original disc ? If not, can I use someone elses Office XP
professional disc ? Any ideas ? Its very frustrating as I can't download
email attachments at the moment without SP3. HELP.........

You really need to locate your disk.

Did you get Office preinstalled on your computer or did you purchase it
separately?

Hi, We bought the disc separately. The only disc I have is a Office XP
version 2002 media content disc. I've tried putting this into the drive but
I just get the same dialogue box back. We moved house recently I think the
disc was lost during the move - I've looked every where for it.

Okay - If you are in the US or Canada:
How to order a replacement CD for Microsoft Office

If you no longer have your Product ID, use Belarc Advisor to locate it.
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

They can replace your Office CDs (*retail only*, not OEM) for about $30.

(In the meantime, follow Mary's advice.)

Did you go to the URL that was posted? The download is still on the page, almost
to the bottom.
