Insert a new column next to the original.

In top cell enter 1

Right-click on fill handle(black lump at bottom right corner of cell) and drag
down to end of data in original column.

Release mouse button and select "Fill Series"

Select both columns and Data>Sort>Descending on the numbered column.

Thanks for the help. I actually had several columns that I wanted to invert,
all at the same time. I've played with your technique and it does work. I
did a couple of searches of the on-line documentation but didn't find
anything. Where in the on-line documentation would I find this (for the
next time when I can't remember this)? Thanks again.

Just make sure you select all columns to sort as a group.

Don't let Excel make the choice.

Online Documentation would not reveal this particular method of operation.

OD would show you how to sort, but adding the dummy column to sort on would
not be found.

Just keep coming to and learning from these news groups.

As far as "next time".........Google is your friend.
