how do I keep outlook running after closing the window

I want to close the outlook window but i want to keep outlook running in the
taskbar. how do i do this?

thats the problem - i know you can minimize it, but like communicator or
messenger, isnt it possible to keep outlook running in the taskbar after
closing the window???
