How do I keep pictures visible in Word and PowerPoint?

On my Dell Inspiron laptop, I'm frustrated that pasted pictures will only
show themselves in Word and PowerPoint when you stop and work on them in some
way. Otherwise they just turn white. Is there a toggle somewhere that's
intended to save RAM like this? Only my MS Office programs have this issue.

In Word, try Tools - Options - View, and make sure that Picture placeholders
is not checked, and that Drawings *is* checked (the latter will affect some
graphics, but not all). Also, in Word, you have a better chance of seeing
drawings of various types in Print Layout view (View - Print Layout).

Someone else will have to tell you about PowerPoint.

Thanks Herb. I have already toggled the picture placeholders and have had
drawings enabled all along. No solution just yet. Evan

Update your video driver.
Do this as a test, slide the acieration down on your adapter, control panel.
display folder, settings tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab. If the pictures
stay visible you need to update your video/graphics driver from the
manufacturer's web sit.
