How do I keep unformatted phone numbers?

I am designing a custom contact form.
How do I ensure that my phone fields remain exacly as I type them (for
example that Outlook does not format "0170403020" into "(01) 70 40 30
20")?

You can prefix a normal telephone field with a couple of letter
characters, or you can use a text field on a back page of a custom form.
