How do I keep word from changing my formatting when saved?

How do I keep workd from making unwanted and time consuming changes to my
formatting. Example...doing a resume...lining up everything...save it and
then it changes and things are out of line. What gives??????

Quick fix: go to Tools > Templates and Add-ins and clear the 'Automatically
update document styles' checkbox.

Better solution: stop using manual formatting. Define your styles as you
need them, then apply those styles.
