How do I know if I have a non-registered copy of Office XP?

K

ken stigler

I have recieved a copy of Office XP 2002 Small Business Edition from a
friend. It came with a new computer that was summarily rebuilt and had all
the software reinstalled. Instead of Office XP, they installed Office 2003.

So, theoretically, I have a valid copy of Office XP.

Is there somewhere I can go, enter the 25 character Product key and find out
if this has been registered or not?

THanks in advance.

Office XP SBE is only an OEM distribution - if you have this version without
hardware/computer from the OEM, it is not a legal version to install.
