How do I know what version of Office 2000 I am running?

I am trying to update my Office 2000 software on an older Dell with new
service packs. It won't allow me to update to SP3. So how can I update this
if I don't know what SP I am using? I assume I have start with the oldest and
keep updating until I am current. How can I find this out? Thanks!

I seem to recollect if you start Word, then Help About will tell you, I aslo
believe you have to instal sp 1(a)? 1st

Open an Office application, click Help, About.

I think you have to install SP1 first, then SP1a. This brings your Windows
Installer up to date. Then you should have no trouble installing SP3. This
is all from memory though. ;^)
