How do I layer text for a page title?

I scrapbook and would like to be able to layer text for titles on my
scrapbook pages.
I have Word 2002. I tried working with text boxes but when dragging my
second text box, I lost my titles.
Hope someone can help me. Thanks

O.K., let me see if I can explain.
I want to layer the title over another title, such as a lower case title in
a color, that extends into another word (of a different color). I think this
can be achieved easily in a desktop publishing program but I understand it
can be done in Word. You have to use two different colors or shades in order
to maintain readability. I also think the lower case title would be a small
font and the other word in a much larger font. Hope this expains what I'm
trying to do. I see this done in a lot of magazines. Thanks for replying.
