How do I link a cell in a workbook?

Hi I am trying to link a cell in a workbook tab but everytime I try it links to the entire page? Any solutions?

Try this:

1. Select the cell or cells where you want to create the external reference.
2. Type = (equal sign).
3. Switch to the source workbook, and then click the worksheet that contains the cells that you want to link.
4. Press F3, select the name that you want to link to.
5. press Enter.
