I saved all of my work Outlook e-mails as .pst files onto a CD. I need to
load them on my home Outlook to view off-line. When I attempt to load the
files I get 2 pop up boxes, the first one says "Properties for this
information service must be definced prior to use", after I click OK for this
box another pops up that says "File Access denied. You do not have the
permission required to access the file", it then list the file from my CD.
Does anybody have a solution to this problem. I just need to view these old
e-mail messages off-line.

How did you save these? All of your Outlook data is in a single pst file. You
have to copy the whole file "outlook.pst" and not just the emails. And then
open in Outlook using the File, Open, personal file folder command. Don't try
to open the pst file on the cd directly.

You can't open a PST file on a read-only medium like a CD. Copy the PST
files to your hard drive, remove the read-only attribute from the files in
Explorer, then open them in Outlook.
