how do I maintain layout after adding photos to existing slidesho

when I add photos to an existing slideshow it changes the integrity of the
animation, background etc. It says to click "Undo" on the edit menu to retain
settings but I can't seem to find this facility.

Unfortunately, I myself have never experienced this problem, but if it helps,
an Undo command can be done with the keystroke Ctrl+Z (press Control and Z on
your keyboard at the same time).
