How do I maintain picture quality on inserted jpgs or tiffs

I am having trouble controlling print quality of images in word documents.

I've created a template page including three text boxes: One for a logo, one
for info text, and one to place the image in.

When I try to print, the picture quality of the image degrades. Color and
detail do not match the quality of the jpg when I print the image directly
using windows photo gallery.

Is there another method to use with word to maintain the image quality?

I am having the same issue. Image degrades and resizes, even when there is
ample insertion space. The png was created in Illustrator by experienced
graphic artist. This is for a letterhead and must be of high quality.

Can someone help us with these issues? I have researched this until my eyes
hurt.

Thank you!
