How do I make a line dividing each page in half horizontally that.

I am making a cookbook in Word. I would like to have a horizontal line
appear showing me the halfway point of each page in my document but I don't
want it to appear when printing. I just want it there so I keep my top
recipe on the top half and start the bottom recipe at the same point on each
page. Any ideas?

One option would be to create text boxes on the page, one for the top recipe
and the other for the bottom. Here are instructions from the Help in Word on
how to create a text box:
----------------------
Insert a text box
On the Drawing toolbar, click Text Box .
Click or drag in your document where you want to insert the text box.
When you insert a text box, a drawing canvas appears around it, but you can
drag the text box off the canvas if you want.
---------------------
You can resize the "canvas" to cover half the page and then drag your text
box to those dimensions. Then copy the box and paste it back into the page.
You can then drag one of them down so that you have two text boxes of equal
dimension.

You can remove the border line around the text box by right clicking on the
text box border and selecting "Format text box" from the pop-up menu. Choose
"No Line" from the line color drop down box.
