how do I make a weekly schedule for all employees to see

I have a restaurant now and I need to make a schedule for all of the
employees to see so they know when they work. How would I do this

A lot of that answer is going to depend on how computer-literate you are.

If you aren't literate at all, I recommend doing it by hand.
Semi-literate - Use a Word.
Rather literate - Use Excel.
Really literate - Use Excel and set up formulas to calculate breaks and
total hours.

(Personal recommendation: Use Word for now but spend time to learn how to do
it with Excel's formulas.)

You may also want to look into your accounting program and see what it can
do and perhaps how you can minimize your workload in regards to time
reporting.

In addition to what JoAnn has said, you can also use Outlook for this
depending on how many employees you have and your restaurant hours.

And if employees are computer literate and have Outlook, they could share
calendars. I used to use this for my service tech so I wouldn't have to call
them every morning with their work scheds for the day...all they had to do
was check their Calendar.

That's a great suggestion. Because I use Outlook Express, I kind of forget
the features that Outlook offers.
