How do I make addresses appear automatically with first letters?

I recently upgraded to Outlook from OE. I am used to an email address in my
address book appearing automatically after I type the first several letters.
Outlook isn't doing this. How can I make it happen?

Just in case you are expecting more than you'll get.....

Outlook only suggests names which you have recently used. This
autocompletion function is NOT looking at your Contacts - only names you
recently sent email to.

Hi,

Delete <OutlookProfile.NK2> file from 'C:\Documents and
Settings\<ProfileName>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook' folder. If
you are planning to use the same in future just *rename* it.

I checked one more box that included the words"autocomplete." That may have
done it. Don't know how I missed it before because that's the first place I
went. Thanks. I'll let you know.

Several minutes later: No, Vince. It didn't do it and I can't find any other
thing that looks even likely that isn't already checked. Any other ideas? I'm
using Word for my platform instead of Outlook. Could that make a difference?

Word makes no difference. Are the names you are typing ones you have
recently emailed? Test it - send an email to a friend, then make a second
new email and start typing their name. Does it start the autocompletion
process (pop down some names with the same first letter)?

OK, Judy, I've done that. I tried with my niece's email address, which I used
yesterday --- nothing. I really appreciate your help. Please stay with me on
this thing. kidzwriter
