How do I make columns out of text WITHIN a table cell?

Mar

I have some text within a cell that I want to make into
newspaper-column format.

What would be the best way to do this? If I go the
sensible route (mark the cell, and click on columns, and
choose number of columns and voila), the result is a
crazy mess.

I'm not familiar with Excel, so I don't want to mess with
learning that.

(This is a rush job.)

I don't believe it's possible to do this. You can't have multiple columns in
a table cell (or in a frame or text box). You could fake it by splitting the
column vertically and dividing the text into two parts; that's about the
best you can do.
