how do i make desktop alerts remain until read

i want the desktop alert to remain visible until i read the message or cancel
the alert manually i.e. longer than the 30 seconds the programme allows

With Outlook 2003, that mail alert can't be made to appear longer than 30
seconds. However, you can always make a rule that will act upon the message
and display a mail alert that will stay until you click it.
