how do I make my gmail inbox my default view when i start outlook?

When I open outlook it defaults to my inbox in my personal folders. How do I
make my gmail inbox folder the default for when I open outlook?

Tools, options, email options, advanced. Select the folder you want.

older version of outlook and the gmail folder is not selectable.
