Actually there are some really cool sites out there that already have
templates for gift boxes. I did some research on that about two Christmases
ago. Most were either .pdf or .gif files.
Publisher could do it and so could Visio, which would make exact dimensions
much easier. And depending on how much time you wanted to invest in the
project, you could do it with drawing tools in Word or Excel. I tend to
fight more with the latter two because I find the programs a bit limiting
when it comes to creative tasks like that. Just my opinion.
