How do I make powerpoint slides from publisher?

You should need powerpoint but not publisher to create a powerpoint
presentation.

I suspect you want to import the presentation to Publisher ?

If you read the original post, the OP wants to take something he already has
in Publisher and put it in a PowerPoint presentation, not the other way
around.
