How do I make the tracking tab show on my sent email?

I'm using Outlook 2003 set to HTML. When I go to my sent box and open an
email to track, there is no tracking tab. How do I get this tab to show?

The tracking tab will only appear after trackable responses arrive. The original outgoing message must remain in the Sent Items folder, by the way.

Hi Sue, thanks for the response. I do have responses but still don't have
the tracking tab. The item is also still in my sent items. Any other ideas?

In Tools | Options | E-mail Options | Tracking Options, do you have Outlook set to process responses automatically? That's the only setting I can think of that would affect this.

OK - I checked my tracking options and the check marks are in the following
boxes:
"Process requests and responses on arrival"; "Process receipts on arrival";
"After processing, move receipts to deleted items"; and "Always send a
response". Do you see something that I need to change?

Nope. I'm stumped. When all else fails, run Help | Detect and Repair.

the same as Rene's.

The tracking tab won't show until you receive receipts from the recipients.
If you didn't request them or they don't send them, there won't be any
tracking.

aha! that worked. But is the tracking tab defeated when you select "after
processeing deliver receipt to *" in my case deleted items folder?
