How do I merge scientific numbers such as 6.01E-09?

Bret Gallo

I am using Microsoft Word 2003 and Excel 2003. I am trying to get data from
Excel in the scientific format i.e., 5.67E-08 to merge into my word document.
I have failed in many attempts in mail merge to format the merge correctly
in Word.

Sorry, what do you mean by merge? I took a column of numbers in
scientific notation in Excel, copied with Ctrl-C and pasted into
Word with CTRL-V The scientific format was preserved.

My ignorance, I'm afraid! I am not familiar with mail merge used
for purposes other than mail. Well, you can teach an old dog new
tricks but I still can't deal with your formatting
question.....Sorry!
