How do I modify a webpage for Internal website?

I

ITNow

Hello all,

I modified a webpage for a website that resides on our IIS server. When I
put the webpage back in the server and I tried to access it, the counter on
the webpage will not work. It was making references to the local computer
that I used to modify the page. Please let me know what is the correct way
to make modifications to a website pages. I am totally new to Front Page.

Thank you very much!

Where did you edit the page, on your local machine or on the remote web?

Did you have an actual website open in FrontPage, or just a page?

How did you put the web page back on the server?

I put the modified web page (webPage) in a share folder and then copied it
to the "Inetput\myWebsite" on the server. But before I copied it to the
server, I renamed the one that was already there to webPage1, and when I did
that I got a warning message that the file will not longer belong to the
folder "webPage1_files", so I said OK. Then when I tried to see the webPage
in the browser, it had not changed, so what I did is to copy the
webPage_Files from the share folder to the "Inetput\myWebsite" on the server,
but then the counter stop working for this web page. And to fix it, I had to
go to edit the webPage in notepad and removed the string that was referencing
my local computer. It works now, but I want to know what is the best and
easier way to modify the web pages in this site.

You need to Publish your changes to the server from your local copy to the
server.
