How do I move a line I've drawn in the increments I want?

I can draw a line but if I want to move the line up and down, it seems to
only move in specific increments, not to the position I need it. What am I
missing? Thanks

Try holding the Ctrl key while you use the arrow key to move in smaller
increments, and try holding the Alt key while you drag it with the mouse,
which allows you complete freedom. See other drawing tips:
