How do I move displayed values in a powerpoint bar graph?

I work for a group that likes 3d graphs, and always wants the values
displayed. Sometimes it is nice to show them in the graph itself (versus
using the table display). Is there a way to shift the values above the bars
(other than clicking and moving each seperately) so they are legible? I'm
using PowerPoint 2003.

The 3D graph is limited on placement. In a regular bar chart, you can do the
following:\

Open chart
Double click on Data labels so all values are selected
When the dialog box opens, click on the Alignment Tab
Now you can adjust text alignment, position and direction
All labels will follow the parameters you've set

In 3D layout you cannot adjust "position" of the labels all at one - that
must be done individually.
