I run retail web sites for a living. I don't care about NN4, I don't care
about IE5 on the Mac - because those users don't make money. I have one
site that for various reasons (all technical) can't support anything less
than IE5/6 or Firefox the site makes >£1000 a day in a very competitive
market and the browser specific coding is a big part of that. When I check
the stats I see a few NN4/Mac users and know I've lost them - but I'd rather
lose a few NN4 users to "bad" coding than a lot of IE users to the
competition.
Bottom line - I *can* code to support any browser but I *choose* not to
