How do I open forwarded yellow envelope attachments?

There must be something in the Tools Settings of Outlook 2003 to allow me to
open forwarded messages, which show as a yellow envelope attachment

Nope, it's an issue with Google Desktop Search which wrecks this
functionality on your computer. Update to the latest version of GDS or
uninstall it.
