How do I open .msg attachements ?

I sometimes receive emails were the previous dialoge to the email is
contained as a .msg attachement. When I click on the attachement a screen
pops up to as if I'm creating a new email to send. I have saved attachement
and tried to open with Word, Notepad etc...but it won't open.

I've forward email to a co-worker who clicks on the attacement and it opens
with no problems. I'm perplexed on what to do?

Hi Tim,
msg files are Email Items, so doubleclick on it. Outlook open them!
