how do i open multiple documents in one word window? mac word x

You don't. That isn't how MacWord works. You open multiple windows, one
per document, and drag them around to be side by side or layered on top or
however you want them. Window | Arrange All will give each equal space and
let you switch between them, or apple-~ will cycle you through the windows
if you layer them.

If that doesn't sort it, what are you trying to do?

By the way, putting the question only in the subject line is not the best
way to get a good answer.
