How do I open up a file from Adobe illustrator or Corel Draw?

I have a file from an artist saved in .ai and .cdr. Is there any way to
import one of these in visio without loading adobe illustrator or corel
draw????

You cannot load them directly. You need to use an intermediate format like
SVG.

Ah! So Mark - are you saying that the SVG format can be used intermediately
to open such "foreign" files in Visio? Are such files editable? That would
be useful. (Will suck it and see).
