How do I pan or zoom in a slide show

I know how to create a standard slide show with my digital images. I would
like to take selected slides and have them zoomed in and out or pan the image
when setting up the slide show.

How to do that?

If your slide show contains digital images only, you might want to look at
Microsoft Photo Story, which is available as free download from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/photostory/default.mspx

It has effects like pan and zoom for the digital images.
